Oct. 25th, 2009 10:43 pm Need Help

I am in need of the vocal selection from Spring Awakening from the song Left Behind. I need only the piano accompaniment and voice piece. My boyfriend is doing an audition for Ragtime and would like to sing this for his callback. I would really appreciate any help!

May. 18th, 2009 09:07 pm San Francisco

So guys, it has been awhile since I have been on. I am nervous because I am going to be flying to San Francisco to see my boyfriend who is performing in the San Francisco Opera. I am not going to the opera, but really want to see the city. Anyone have any ideas? I also was reading about the Urban Safari. Has anyone taken that before?

I am looking for the Miss Saigon score - specifically the song Bui Doi. If anyone can get this for me, I would be very grateful! My boyfriend is auditioning for Miss Saigon in the up coming weeks and I am trying to help him out.

Jun. 18th, 2008 05:55 pm Help Me Out if you can!

Ok, so I am going to NYC on July 11. We have tickets booked for a few shows and others we are either doing the student rush or lottery for them.

I have questions for any of you that know -

We are going to try to do rush for Gypsy. Does anyone know the time we need to be there and where the tickets are located?

I have the same question for Crybaby and for Chicago.

So if anyone can give me a bit of help, I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

Edit - nevermind about CryBaby - just heard it is closing this Sunday, the 22nd. :(

Dec. 13th, 2007 05:27 pm Backstage at Wicked

Well, Neka's last night in Wicked Chicago will be on Sunday. It will be a sad day as she is so good and so quite entertaining to watch in the show. She always puts up a great performance.

My sister has been friends with Neka for awhile now and she was asked if we would like to go backstage with her. Well we were not going to pass that up. We saw all the regular stuff on the stage - tracks, numbers, the bubble, the lift and so on. We saw the green baby, even though Neka was not supposed to pull her out, she did anyway. We saw the girls costumes and felt them. The monkey suit is weird. We felt the feathers and the shear weight of the costumes is unbelievable! Wow are they heavy. Got to feel any material we wanted with what ever costume we wanted to feel it from. It was so cool. The Madame Morrible costumes were so delicate and so detailed. You just do not realize how they are, but it was so cool. We got to go to the girl's ensemble dressing room, the wig room, the makeup room, the mask room, the laundry room and just walked around backstage. It was so much fun and so great - we saw things we had never seen before! Neka was great and we got to meet her mom too. She was also taking the tour with us, although Neka was telling us that she had seen backstage a million times now. It was so cool!

The best part was when we were in the ensemble dressing room and Neka was like I have something for you guys. She pulled out 5 Wizomania tickets for us. She was like, "No one else has these, so I thought you guys would appreciate them for being so great to us!" Then she was like, "And I signed the back of each of them for you." It was so neat to get them. I don't think she was supposed to give them out but we appreciated them so much!

We walked out with her and she was like, "Well I will see you guys soon." My sister says, "Well on Sunday." She was like, "Oh well I guess, I won't too much longer I guess." It was kind of sad. She will be greatly missed!

Last night was a great night! It was unforgettable!

Dec. 5th, 2007 06:26 am What Do You Have To Say? - I'll Never Forget This Birthday

Write about your best (or worst) birthday.
There have been two best birthdays. The first was when I was like 11 or 12 and my grandpa rented out Showbiz Pizza place for my cousins and I to play in. The characters sang, "They say It's Your Birthday" to me. It was cool!

And the other was this past birthday where I was invited to go backstage at Wicked. It was a fun day with friends and then hanging out at Wicked.

Nov. 18th, 2007 04:54 pm NYC

Well the stike has me a little worried. I can't think that it would be good to have shows booked and not be able to see them when I go - oh well I guess I do something else, NYC is full of life and I can make the best of it!

So here is the plan! My sister is no longer going. I am going with my friend Emily who has never been to NYC before.

Dec. 7 Fly to NYC. We drop off our bags and we are going to walk down 5th Ave for shopping and take a ride to see the Statue of Liberty. (I cannot resist!) We will be trying for the lottery for Wicked for the evening. If we do not get it we are going to hope for cancellation line.

Dec. 8 We are going to see Les Mis which we already have tickets for it. Did not planon seeing it, but it closes on Jan 6 and John Owen Jones from the London production is over so I am totally going to see that!

We are seeing Spring Awakening in the evening, do not have tickets yet, but will before we go.

After Spring Awakening we may go try to get into Saturday Night Live - still trying to see if we will have time.

Dec. 9 We are going to go ice skating in Rockafeller Center. Then going to the Rockettes, for which we got house seats from Afra. Yay!

We have tickets to see Pygmalion in the afternoon. We have tickets for this and I cannot wait to see Claire Danes. I think she is amazing!

Then it is a plane ride home for stupid reality. But it will be fun while it lasts!

Oct. 16th, 2007 09:34 am NYC trip update

So right now here is what is booked -

Airline tickets and Pygmalion tickets

Afra is getting the Rockette tickets - so that will be booked.

Emily is getting the hotel and will be booking Spring Awakening.

As for Wicked - lottery and then we will see, and hopefully Young Frankenstein cancellation line.

And I was thinking of maybe trying to get standby for Saturday Night Live - we will see.
